Indian Attire

We’d love for you to celebrate with us in Indian attire! Don’t worry if you don’t have any; formal attire works too. While Indian attire is optional, we highly encourage it!

Unsure about what to wear? No problem! This guide is here to help you.

Shopping for traditional Indian attire can feel overwhelming. Check out the list of recommended websites and outfit suggestions below to simplify your search.

When ordering online, be sure to double-check the return policy and sizing. Since many items are shipped from India, we recommend placing your order at least three months in advance to allow for delivery and any necessary alterations. Remember to avoid red (the bride’s color) and white (a traditional mourning color).

If you have any questions, reach out at vanessa.shaneel@gmail.com. We’re excited to help you look your best!

What is a Bandhgala?

A Bandhgala, also called a "Jodhpuri suit," is a stylish, shorter alternative to the sherwani, featuring a jacket with a stand-up, closed-neck collar.

Unlike the longer Sherwani, the Bandhgala hits around the hip, giving it a more modern feel while still retaining a formal, traditional look. It's often paired with fitted trousers, and the minimalist design can be elevated with embroidery or buttons for added flair. The Bandhgala is perfect for someone looking for a sophisticated look without the length of a Sherwani. Ideal for formal events, it strikes a perfect balance between traditional elegance and contemporary style.
